We would be happy to share with you that act4Greece supports the action of Boroume from 24/06/2019 to 24/12/2019, with the aim of gathering donations to cover the operational costs of the action for six months, when it is estimated that the rescue and food supply will surpass 4 million portions throughout Greece.

From 2012 until today we have had the pleasure of collaborating daily with Fresh pastry shops throughout Attica. Cakes, pastries, tarts, biscuits, ice creams, all of high quality, are offered with a lot of care and love to people who need them giving them great joy.

According to a recent survey by the European Commission (February 2018), it is estimated that up to 10% of the 88 million tonnes of food waste generated annually in the European Union is linked to the date marking on foodstuffs.

For two days in June we had the pleasure of participating in the all-partners Meeting of the NEMESIS project in Sheffield, England.

For the third consecutive year the company Septona has supported Boroume’s program "We are Family" to offer basic food items for 1 month to families in need.

Many dozens of portions of a wonderful yoghurt pie, delicious and nutritious biscuits and even more smiles sum up the social cooking action we organized recently together with the volunteers of the JTI company.

Why did you decide to volunteer? Very simply because I had the willingness to offer. Because especially at this time it is very important to show our interest with actions and not just words. For me volunteering is a way to change what we see around us and to face the world a little more positively.

In May we had the pleasure of cooperating with the Greek-French School of Ursulines in a special way! The students of the High School participated in two programs of Boroume, in the "Boroume at the Farmers’ Market" and "Boroume at School", combining in this way the educational part to reduce food waste with an experiential action in two farmers’ markets, in Papagou and in the Ellinoroson area.
