Boroume is awarded with 4 stars in the NPOs evaluation project "Thales II"

Thu 24 October 2019

From our first day of operation here at Boroume we have strived to continually improve the impact of our actions, our effectiveness and especially the high level of transparency of the organization.

In this context, we participated in the second Thales project, the “Thales II: Mapping and Evaluating Greek Nonprofits”, which is implemented by the University of the Peloponnese in collaboration with the Nonprofit Organization HIGGS.

We are delighted that during the first evaluation phase our Organization has garnered a total of 4 stars on the basis of three criteria: efficiency, organization and transparency.

But with the help of the Thales researchers, whom we sincerely thank for any advice and support, we are determined to continue our efforts to improve our Organization as we strongly believe that this translates directly into greater and more substantial environmental, economic and social impact of our actions. In our case, too, this means lower food waste, less environmental burden from organic waste, more school children who will be educated on the issue of food wastage, and especially more people in need being supported by food.
