Volunteer for 1 hour and offer hundreds of pounds of fruit and vegetables to people in need

Thu 26 September 2019

How can you achieve this? You can do it very easily by participating in the program "Boroume at the Farmer’s Market" in Athens or Thessaloniki. Our volunteer teams visit the 27 cooperating farmer’s markets every week in Athens and Thessaloniki at the end of their workday and collect the usable foods that have unfortunately not been sold and that the sellers prefer to offer to charitable institutions rather than throw them away. Our volunteers collect, record and immediately deliver left over food to the relevant charitable institution, contributing to the qualitative feeding of hundreds of people in need.

Through the program "Boroume at the Farmer’s Market", our volunteers have contributed to the rescuing and offering of more than 250 tons of fruits and vegetables so far.

You can help by offering a little of your time and participating in a pleasant activity with a substantial positive social and environmental impact.

If you would like to know more information about the program or to participate, you can call us at 210 3237805 or visit the page:
