Two new farmers' markets in collaboration with the program "Boroume at the Farmers’ Market"

Tue 03 December 2019

The farmers’ market of Alsoupolis, which operates every Thursday in Athens, and the Toumba farmers’ market market, which operates every Wednesday in Thessaloniki, are the two markets that have recently joined the program "Boroume at the Farmers’ Market", which now includes 29 collaborating farmers' markets in the two cities.

The traders of both farmers’ markets happily welcomed the Boroume volunteers and those of the Psaraftio Foundation in Athens and the Praxi Agapis in Thessaloniki, the charitable organizations that are being supported by the donated food.

In just 2 months, the traders of the farmers’ markets offered a total of over 3.500 kilos of fruit and vegetables to the two charitable institutions, showing once again their willingness to offer and support the institutions who care for people in need.

Through the program "Boroume at the Farmers’ Market" the volunteers who participate in our actions continue to save & offer surplus fruits and vegetables to charitable organizations, thus contributing dynamically to Boroume’s work.
