The soup kitchen with the most Michelin stars

Wed 24 January 2018

We had the great honor and pleasure to work with CineDoc on their documentary "Theater of Life" by director Peter Svatek, which was aired in Athens, Thessaloniki and Volos.

The documentary presents the extraordinary story of award-winning 3-star Michelin chef Massimo Bottura, who, during the Expo Milano 2015, joined by 60 top chefs from all over the world, transforms the food that was left over from the Expo to delicious meals for homeless people and refugees in the city. The chef Bottura created a new model soup kitchen, which focuses not only on providing tasty and nutritious meals but also on providing them with the basic principle of decent treatment for beneficiaries.

After each showing of the documentary, Boroume members in Athens, Thessaloniki and Volos participated together with representatives of local gastronomy in the ensuing discussion with the audience. Also, in response to the screening and with the help of Boroume, dozens of food portions were gathered and offered from viewers to local soup kitchens.

We warmly thank CineDoc for the honor and pleasure to work with them on the occasion of the screening of "Theater of Life".
