"Saving & Offering Food" volunteer actions from MSD employees!

It is our great pleasure to have MSD employees, through their volunteering activities, as our constant ally in reducing food waste, and in fact in every possible way!

MSD employees, for a number of years, have taken care with the help of Boroume so that "No portion of food (gets) lost". Until the beginning of 2020, they safely offered to non-profit organizations meals, coming from their dining room, as well as delicacies from their internal corporate events.

In addition, the employees of the company, in the context of actual support of volunteering, have participated in actions of Boroume, such as in actions of the program "Boroume Gleaning" for the rescue of agricultural production, which is in danger of being lost, then offering the collected fresh produce for charitable purposes.

We are moved by the fact that even in the current difficult situation with the current restrictions, they are constantly looking for ways to strengthen our cooperation and support the collective effort to reduce food waste and increase food support for socially vulnerable groups.

With a big smile we welcomed their proposal to pick lemons from their garden in the area where the company's offices are located in Athens. And so it happened, and they managed to gather a significant amount of lemons, which they then offered with our help to a local social soup kitchen. A big thank you to all the participants, who carried out this action and especially in the current unfavorable conditions.
