More than 750 kg of leeks & cabbages were "saved" & offered through the "Boroume Gleaning" program

About 30% of agricultural production in Greece and worldwide never leaves the farm because it does not meet the strict marketing standards or because the market price is lower than the cost of the harvest.

Such was the case of leeks and cabbages that remained untapped in the field of George in Marathon. As soon as we were informed of this donation, we made sure to organize a group of volunteers to go and collect the fresh produce which was immediately delivered to charitable institutions in the nearby area.

We would like to thank George and TÜV AUSTRIA HELLAS for the information provided to the producer for the "Boroume Gleaning" program and thus over 750 kilos of leeks and cabbages were "saved " and offered to people in need.
