French Embassy & Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens allies of Boroume

These days we had an excellent collaboration with the Embassy of France in Athens and the Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens.

The cooperation began at the farmers' market Ellinoroson where we welcomed to our volunteer group the Ambassador of the French Republic Mr. Patrick Maisonnave, the Chef of the Embassy Mr. Jean-Marie Hoffmann, the Executive Chef of the Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens Mr. Bertrand Valegeas and their associates in order to collect excess fruits and vegetables for a good cause.

Later on Mr. Bertrand Valegeas and his team cooked 220 servings of fricassee beef with mixed vegetables in order to offer them at the Galini soup- kitchen.

The Galini is a soup kitchen of the Archdiocese of Athens in the center of Athens which serves daily about 650-700 beneficiaries. 

We truly thank the Ambassador of the French Republic, Mr. Maisonnave, Mr. Hoffmann and Mr. Valegeas, for their support. With their help we managed to give a different “flavor” to the everyday life of many people who face food insecurity. 

Warm thanks also to Sanitas Company and butcher Nasopoulos for the kind sponsorship of packages for storing portions and meat, as well as the sellers of the farmers’ market for their generous offer of edible fruits and vegetables.
