AEGEAN saves and offers food with the help of Boroume

All of Boroume’s activities focus on reducing food waste and increasing food supply, based on the fact that our partners, donors and recipient charities, rely on us for easy, safe, effective and significant food supply.

Since the concept of food waste was unknown until a few years ago in Greece, it is especially significant to us when significant partners have shown faith in us right from the start, for they basically constitute pioneers in their field, "paving" the way for others to follow. One such partner-pioneer in the field is AEGEAN, which effectively and passionately supports our daily battle to reduce food waste.

Our collaboration with AEGEAN began in the early days of Boroume’s activities in late 2011 and since then the company has offered tens of thousands of food portions to many charitable organizations in Athens, Thessaloniki and Heraklion. Over the years, the company collects and offers, with our help, all products from its flights, which, in accordance with the law can be donated, and all food left over after events and various other activities.

We are delighted that almost every passenger on AEGEAN flights can be informed of our joint actions in rescuing & offering inflight food as it contributes significantly to spreading our message to reduce food waste in Greece.

We thank AEGEAN for all the above and we hope that in the future we will be able together to save and offer whatever is left over to those who really need it today in Greece.
