Aegean Airlines and Boroume: a timeless supply partnership

During our journey from 2012 until today we have the honor to be firmly supported by large companies which remain, after so many years of cooperation, an important link in the chain of reducing food waste in our country. 

From the first donation of Aegean Airlines in January 2012, 1,000 croissants and 1,000 boxes of cookies, we reached in 2021 the 71,001 surplus portions of high quality food that we offered to non-profit organizations. 

In total the company has saved and offered, with the help of Boroume from 2012 until the first months of 2022, more than 777,421 servings of food.

Aegean Airlines's support in Boroume is not limited only to food supply. It has hosted Boroume in the on board magazine "Blue", through which our organization gained many new "friends" inside and outside Greece. 

In addition, as one of the most dynamic ambassadors of our message "every meal matters" and as a company for which food donation is synonymous with social contribution, solidarity, and environmental protection, it has placed the mark of Boroume on trolleys picking up trays with food. In this way each passenger can be informed about the process of saving and offering food.

For all of the above reasons, we, the Boroume family, to which belong thousands of organizations we support, would like to express a very big thank you to Aegean Airlines, as an active ally in our efforts to reduce food waste and food insecurity in Greece.
