50 tons of potatoes were "saved" and were offered to 12 charitable institutions by McCain

The motto of Boroume is "Every meal matters" and by this we mean that every day we do our best to save and offer every food donation entrusted to us, always to the appropriate local recipient charity.

The span of each offer ranges from literally a few portions of food e.g. from one house to hundreds of portions of various foods in some cases. A few days ago, thanks to McCain's extremely generous offer, we broke the record for the most food donated.

We are very happy that McCain has entrusted us to help save & offer more than 50 tons of potatoes from the specialized cultivation of the "Karpos Frontidas" program.

The " Karpos Frontidas" is McCain's special corporate social responsibility program aimed at supporting smallholder potato farmers in the borderline village of Notia, Pella through the provision of raw materials, education and market access derived from the full reinvesting of sales in the development of this initiative.

With Boroume’s coordinating assistance, 12 charitable institutions from Western and Central Macedonia, within a short period of time, rushed to Notia to pick up the potatoes, which were directly -in some cases the same day- offered to some hundreds of beneficiaries of charitable organisations.
