2019 Results of the program "Boroume at the Farmers’ Market"

In 2019 the program “Boroume at the Farmers’ Market” was completed once again with excellent yearly results. Through the program, from 22 farmers’ markets in Athens and 7 in Thessaloniki, our volunteers saved and offered over 158.000 kilos of fruits, vegetables and other produce to charitable institutions, which correspond to hundreds of thousands of food portions.

Apart from the volunteers, we would like to extend a very big thank you to the farmers’ markets vendors, who, in response to our work, have substantially supported dozens of charitable organizations, providing food of high nutritional value to those in need.

The program "Boroume at the Farmers’ Market", after 4 years of operation, has supported dozens of charitable institutions in Athens and Thessaloniki with more than 380 tons of fresh food and will continue to support those in need in 2020.
