1.000 kilos of potatoes were "saved" and offered by producers in Goumenissa of Kilkis

A few days ago we were contacted by three producers from Goumenissa in Kilkis to inform us that they had 1.000 kilos of potatoes which unfortunately were not able to allocate as they did not meet the strict standards of trade on the appearance of the product. They thought it was a shame to waste so much produce in good condition and so they contacted us to offer them to people in need.

We immediately searched for charities that needed the potatoes and we arranged for their delivery to the Social Welfare Foundation  "Agios Panteleimon ", Lagada. It is an institution that hosts and supports 300 elderly people with mental deficiencies on a daily basis. As the operators of the charity informed us, this offer was a great relief for them as their daily needs in food are great.
