Launch of the "Boroume at the Farmers’ Market" program activities in Thessaloniki

The activities of the program "Boroume at the Farmers’ Market" have now been expanded to Thessaloniki with two new partnerships, the farmers’ markets of Ano Toumba and Kalamaria.

With the excellent cooperation and support of those responsible for the farmers’ markets, the volunteers of Boroume in Thessaloniki gathered in just three actions 721 kilos of fresh food which were offered to the soup kitchen of St. Marina in Toumba and the social service of the municipality of Kalamaria in support of their beneficiaries.

The collaborations of the program "Boroume at the Farmers’ Market" in Thessaloniki are expected to expand further in the near future with the participation of more farmers’ markets, following the support and the warm response of producers and vendors of farmers’ markets. The lively and energetic volunteer group of Boroume in Thessaloniki will be there to ensure that thanks to these actions no food portion will be wasted, thus supporting local charitable bodies and people who are in need.
