"No portion of food wasted" at Georgiou Zoi Schools

Wed 25 May 2022

What could be nicer than to find yourself among children and talk with them about how they can make the world a better place?

On Saturday, May 21 we had the opportunity to take part in the 2-day Philanthropic Cultural Festival at the Georgiou Zoi Schools in the context of our informative programs “Every meal matters” and “Boroume at School.”

At the Festival which, among other things, gave emphasis to the Food Waste theme, we informed the students, teachers and parents of the school about the phenomenon of food waste, its social and environmental impact, as well as practices we can adopt at school and at home in order to reduce waste.

The children’s response to every new piece of information regarding this serious social, economic and environmental problem was impressive. So was their desire to contribute to Boroume’s efforts to fight food waste in our country and to support people in need.

We warmly thank the  Georgiou Zoi Schools  for their wonderful initiative and for their interest in informing their students about food waste and volunteerism.
