"Boroume at the Farmers’ Market" 2021: 106 tons of fruits & vegetables saved and offered

Within the first 7 months of 2021, through the "Boroume at the Farmers’ Market" program, more than 106 tonnes of fruits and vegetables were saved and offered to dozens of charitable institutions in Athens and Thessaloniki.

In a difficult and demanding year, with prolonged lockdown and difficulties in managing everyday life for everyone, the vendors of the cooperating famers’ markets, and Boroume’s volunteers as well as those of the charitable institutions managed to support with persistence people in need, with richly nutritional products such as fruits and vegetables.

The unabated generosity and support of the farmers’  market vendors in the program "Boroume at the Farmers’ Market" for people in need, as well as the positive energy of all volunteers for another year give us the strength to continue our work with unabated effort.
