Boroume at School: Informing children about food waste, volunteering and donations

Our educational program "Boroume at School" started 3 years ago and has the main purpose of informing and sensitizing children about the issue of food waste. Through the activities we have planned, children also discover concepts such as volunteerism and social giving. The education of children in the above values is a prerequisite for the development of a society that will embrace them in the future.

Through the experiential activities of the programs, children have the opportunity to learn about the problem of food waste, to explore and learn about its causes and possible solutions and ways to deal with the problem. In this way children have the ability to be the channel of changing behavior about food waste in their home!

For the implementation of the program, a rich educational material has been created with useful information on the topic of food waste and various activities (verbal exercises, artistic activities, emotion expression activities and ideas, etc.), on the relevant thematic areas. While, depending on the needs of each school and in consultation with the responsible teacher, we can shape the program accordingly.
