Food needs from Caritas Athens

Caritas Athens is a non-profit organization recognized by the state. It is a member of Caritas Hellas which is part of Caritas Europea and Caritas Internationalis, the charitable organization of the Catholic Church active in more than 165 countries in the world.

Its actions include - amongst others - the support of refugees through the distribution of food and clothing, the provision of love meals and educational programs, as well as the support of the homeless, the elderly, the sick and the imprisoned.

During this period, the organization needs the following foods:

Legumes (lentils, beans, chickpeas)

Tuna canned food

Pasta (penne, spaghetti)

Yellow rice

Evaporated milk

Oil

Tomato paste

Salt, pepper, spices

Minced meat

Chicken

Cereals, croissants, cookies

In addition, it is in need of personal hygiene items (shampoo, shower gel, napkins), baby diapers (No 2,3,4), toilet paper, paper towels, washing powder, disposable gloves and stationery for children.
