Food needs from Alzheimer Hellas

Thu 08 December 2022
The Greek Association of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders (Alzheimer Hellas) is a non-profit association founded in 1995. Its main goals are – among others – to promote understanding and support for all those in Greece that have any relationship with or interest in this disease, to create Day Care Centers and Boarding Programs that relieve families from the care of patients, and to promote scientific research.

In the autumn of 2022, the association founded the boarding program “Panagia Glykofilousa,” which accommodates 25 patients with late-stage dementia in the Thessaloniki area.

At this time, the Boarding Program needs the following food:

Fresh bread
Whole wheat pasta
Yogurt
Milk and other dairy products (creams, rice pudding, cheese)
Frozen vegetables (green peas, green beans, spinach)
Frozen seafood
Vinegar
