Wed 16 May 2018

More than 37 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables were "saved" from January to April 2018 with the cooperation of Boroume’s volunteers, the vendors of 16 farmers’ markets and the recipient charities participating in the program "Boroume at the Farmers’ Market".

This amount is the result of a joint effort, thanks to which hundreds of people in need of fresh food have gained access to thousands of portions of food.

With the continuous extension of the program  "Boroume at the Farmers’ Market" in Athens and Thessaloniki many more people in need will be supported by the cooperation of all those who help to save fruits and vegetables, while this produce will not end up in the trash and the environmental burden will be avoided.
