More than food: a relationship of giving and trust by Barba Stathis

Barba Stathis gives meaning to contribution, not just with words but with actions. The company firmly supports Boroume, with the aim of reducing food waste and strengthening public benefit organizations, such as Social Grocery, soup kitchens, organizations for people with disabilities, child protection agencies, elderly care units and psychosocial rehabilitation units.

In 2024, it supported the work of Boroume with more than 43,900 portions of vegetables, while from 2019 to 2025 donations total 480,000 portions.

This collaboration is part of our common struggle to reduce food waste and substantially support society. Barba Stathis proves that responsibility is not just a strategy, it is a way of life. In addition, in collaboration with them, we have created an informational leaflet, which is distributed to students who visit the company's facilities in Thessaloniki.

In addition, we warmly thank the company for its significant contribution to the "Alliance to Reduce Food Waste", an initiative coordinated by Boroume and promotes collaboration throughout the entire supply chain.
