A big thank you to Danone Nutricia!

Our long-term collaboration with Danone Nutricia is indicative of both the many ways in which a company can contribute to the reduction of food waste and how essential the collaboration between a company and Boroume can be.

First of all, Danone Nutricia is a member of the Alliance for the Reduction of Food Waste in Greece, which Boroume has founded and  has been coordinating since 2020, contributing substantially to this important initiative.

Danone Nutricia is also a constant donor of food, which with the help of Boroume is saved and offered to charitable organizations. Many tens of thousands of portions of food have been saved and offered in this way, supporting fellow human beings in need and at the same time protecting the environment from the negative burden created by food waste.

It is worth noting that many employees of the company honored us this year by being volunteers in the program Boroume at the Farmers Market, during which they saved hundreds of kilos of fresh products, which were offered directly to charitable organizations – recipients of the program.

However, the most important aspect of our multifaceted cooperation is, undoubtedly, the support of the program Boroume at School, the operation of which Danone Nutricia has decided to fully fund for the second half of 2023. In this way, it has given us the opportunity to continue our favorite educational program, which every year, reaches thousands of children of all ages from every corner of Greece on the topics of food waste and social solidarity in order to create new food saving heroes.

We therefore wish to express a huge thank you to Danone Nutricia for its long and multifaceted contribution to the reduction of food waste and we wish in the future to have the honor and pleasure to work as closely with it.
