"Boroume at School" in Larissa

Mon 27 January 2020

On the occasion of our team members’ participation in the "LifeScore" stop-food-waste information campaign that took place in Larissa on Monday 20.01.20, we were delighted to visit the "Karavana School", where we presented our educational program "Boroume at School" to all primary school children.

Through the activities of the program, children had the opportunity to learn about the problem of food waste, to explore its causes and to propose possible solutions and ways of dealing with it. The pupils enthusiastically participated and pledged to abide by the food waste reduction tips.

In addition, the children of The Greek Merimna- Children's Shelter of Larissa kindergarten participated in the presentation of "Dinosaur", the book’s hero, who in imaginative ways passes on the message to children of how to manage food with care, and at the same time help those in need. The children participated enthusiastically in the discussion that followed, surprising us with their knowledge and views.
